The SCREENWRITERS’ NEST is a unique experience for professional or emerging film & television writers and directors during which you will be guided through the process of developing your own narrative or documentary screenplay; creating your pitch deck; and training to pitch.  

With their diverse backgrounds, the mentors, Miguel Clara Vasconcelos and Patricia Geula bring together their experience, training and sensibilities whilst using the Guionismo Methodology. 

The GUIONISMO METHODOLOGY, above the research and writing techniques applied, allows you to bring fragments of emotional and cognitive memory into narrative, giving greater depth to the characters, unblocking the most complex situations and finding  unexpected original solutions. 

Beginning with an idea or an outline, the mentors will work on your script, analyzing its starting point, helping to create a clear structure, to find an original approach to characters, plot points and to its conclusion. They will also guide you on designing a pitch deck tailored for your project and preparing your pitch whilst giving you some industry insights. 

The Screenwriters’ Nest is broken down into a set of sessions appropriate to your project, with an approximate duration of 2 hours each. All sessions are online. Having writers from all over the world, projects can be in English, Portuguese, Spanish or Swahili.

In the end, you will find a solid script; ready to shoot, present to producers, or apply for funding and contests. Guionismo Methodology will provide you an essential kit for healthy professional writing.
